The 2025/26 summer transfer market continues its course. Given the imminent fact that FC Barcelona has not closed the door to making a sale, given the overbooking of assets it possesses in certain areas of the field, rumors begin to arise around several of its figures.
In this opportunity, the name that comes into play is Pablo Gavi. The Andalusian midfielder, 21 years old, comes from a 2024/25 season in which he lost prominence in the culé team, largely due to the unfortunate complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee and the associated injury in the lateral meniscus that he suffered, which deprived him of playing a significant number of matches, ceding his place in a midfield area full of talent, where scratching for minutes is a challenge.
- 📌 GAVI'S NUMBERS IN THE 2024/25 SEASON WITH FC BARCELONA: three goals and three assists in 42 matches (1,688 minutes played).
However, the outlook for 2025/26 seems to be different. The player from Los Palacios y Villafranca has closed a truly stellar preseason, finishing as the top scorer (three goals) of the tour of Asia and leaving pleasant sensations on the field. He has shown himself as an intense player, with ample physical display and remarkable technical quality, leaving clear that any sequelae from his injury seem to have been left behind.
Naples would be preparing a millionaire offer to sign Gavi
Precisely for that reason, and seeing that the player from Palacios aims to recover his best version, it is natural that rumors begin to circulate around his future. Under that premise, one of the clubs that would be seriously considering his incorporation, according to the portal Fichajes.net, is Naples of Antonio Conte.
The Neapolitan team, current champion of Serie A, has already reinforced its midfield this summer with Kevin De Bruyne, but would be willing to go further. According to the aforementioned source, the Italians contemplate transferring a proposal close to €70M for the '6' azulgrana, an amount still far from the alleged €80-90M that Barcelona would demand to let him leave.
Neither Barcelona nor Gavi value a departure this summer
For now, from the culé offices there does not seem to be much willingness to part with a player who renewed until 2030 and who, after fully recovering, has shown that he can contribute a lot to the sports project of Hansi Flick. Even, it is not ruled out that Gavi even has the character of 'untouchable' within the dressing room.
Beyond the interest that may arise from abroad, the Andalusian himself would not be considering an exit either. Youth player and symbol of commitment to Barcelona, he has made clear on more than one occasion his love for the entity. And in the face of constant rumors, he has not shown signs of wanting to abandon the culé project, in which he is considered one of the great jewels of the future and a possible captain in the medium term.
