FC Barcelona is awaiting a formal offer from Valencia for Pau Víctor in the coming days. Just as happened with Pablo Torre, the board is confident in the possibility of making money with the Catalan striker, although the option of a loan seems more feasible.
In this regard, the latest information points to Valencia's interest in the '18' of Barcelona, whose departure from Barça has been decided for several weeks. With the signing of Marcus Rashford, the Barça team seems to complete its attack for the 25/26 season, waiting to see what Roony Bardghji can do on the Asian tour.
A tour in which Pau will not be, as the board prefers that he and the rest of the discards remain in Catalonia to define their future. This is the case with Iñaki Peña and Oriol Romeu, the latter returning to the club after a year on loan at Girona.
Valencia wants Pau Víctor, but Barça prefers an immediate sale
The 'albirrojo' team also sounded like a possible destination for Víctor, but it seems that Valencia could get ahead in the bidding. Coach Carlos Corberán has already given the 'Ok' to the signing, but the 'ché' team would only be willing to negotiate a loan.
The 23-year-old striker was one of the surprises of Barcelona's pre-season in 2023, scoring a couple of goals on the American tour. However, in the 24/25 season he barely played 379 minutes spread over 29 games (2 as a starter).
Even so, the player from San Cugat del Vallés scored a couple of goals in La Liga and an assist in the first half of the season. From January onwards, he practically disappeared from Hansi Flick's rotation plan, sealing his future for the 25/26 season.
In that sense, Valencia offers him the possibility of earning a place in Corberán's XI, a coach who took those from Mestalla from the bottom of the table to finish in 12th place, far from the ghost of relegation.
How much is Barça asking for Pau Víctor's transfer?
But the 'ché' team does not see a transfer feasible this summer, while Barça prioritizes making money with a sale in the order of 10 million euros. Víctor arrived in Barcelona in 2023 on loan from Girona and the club closed his purchase for 2.7 million euros last summer.
The striker is worth 4 'kilos' according to Transfermarkt and his clause is 100 million euros. As his contract ends in 2029, the 'culés' are in a position to demand an amount higher than his market value, but everything will depend on the economic capacity of Valencia or any other LaLiga team.
Celta, Sevilla and Betis are also very attentive to the future of Pau Víctor, but like the 'ché' team, they prioritize a loan without a mandatory purchase option. Barça, in the case of a transfer, will reserve a repurchase option and a percentage of his sports rights. What will be the future of the '18'?
