FC Barcelona closes this Monday its Asian pre-season tour with the friendly match against Daegu FC. The club will return this week to Catalonia and, although the registrations of several of its players are still pending, there is full confidence in leaving everything resolved in a timely manner during the next two weeks.

In this regard, Marcus Rashford ratified his confidence in being able to debut with Barça on Saturday, August 16, in LaLiga matchday 1 against Mallorca. "I think it's something the club has to resolve and I'm confident it will happen. I focus on training and being ready for the start of the season," he explained.

Barça's agenda to resolve the registration of Rashford and the rest

In principle, the Azulgrana board has five pending registrations to resolve. In addition to Rashford, they are also waiting for their incorporation into the first team:

  1. Joan García;
  2. Roony Bardghji;
  3. Gerard Martín;
  4. Wojciech Szczesny.

These last two, due to the update of their contracts. The full-back played last season with a reserve team card, while 'Tek' renewed last month until 2027. Bardghji, in fact, will also have a Barça Atlètic card if Hansi Flick finally counts on him for the 25/26 season, as planned.

With García, Barça does not plan to wait to confirm the long-term absence of Marc-André ter Stegen. On the contrary, the departures of Oriol Romeu and Iñaki Peña, probably both with a letter of freedom, should free up enough 'Fair Play' to register him.

Once the incorporation of the '1' is resolved, it will be Rashford's turn. The Azulgrana team closed this week a sponsorship agreement with the Democratic Republic of the Congo that allows them to earn 10 million net per season. In addition, the income of 100 'kilos' from the VIP seats of the new Spotify Camp Nou by the culé auditor Crowe is pending to be computed.

With this money, Barcelona will solve its problems with 'Fair Play' without having to bet on the salary that Ter Stegen frees up if, finally, his absence is confirmed for four or more months. The departures of Héctor Fort and Andreas Christensen could also help, although for now neither of them is clear about their departure.

Marcus Rashford sets the Champions League as the main objective for the 25/26 season

Beyond the mess with his registration, the English winger is focused on performing at the highest level with Hansi Flick's team and winning all the titles at stake in the 25/26 season. In that sense, Marcus does not hesitate to point to the Champions League as the main objective for the next season.

"Everyone wants to win the Champions League. Last year was fantastic and now we have to try to recreate it and improve it by winning it," commented the '14'. In addition, he joked about the possibility of scoring "100 goals or as many as possible" with the Azulgrana shirt.

"I know it will be different for me to play in another country and in another style of football, but I accept the challenge. I can play in different positions, score goals from all areas of the field, it's about being able to score from different areas," Rashford pointed out in statements collected by 'Mundo Deportivo'.
