Real Madrid announced this Friday the transfer of Reinier Jesus to Atlético Mineiro, after the player arrived at the 'Casa Blanca' in 2020 and never debuted with the first 'merengue' team, in addition to facing several loans.

In this context, the incorporation of the Brazilian has become one of the least fruitful movements of Madrid in recent transfer markets. The 'blanca' entity paid 30 million euros to Flamengo for his signing, but the attacking midfielder only had participation in 3 games of Real Madrid Castilla.

The player's departure was published through a brief statement from the 'merengue' team, and although not many details were revealed, various media assure that the 'blanco' team kept 50% of his rights, to profit from a future sale.

Atlético Mineiro, a boost for Reinier

In this argumentative order, Reinier signed with Atlético Mineiro until 2029 and, despite having one year left on his contract with Madrid, the Brazilian team will assume the entirety of his salary.

After his arrival at the Belo Horizonte International Airport, the player was totally excited to face a new stage in his career, after feeling unhappy, according to his own words.

“I am very happy to sign for the galo, in my new home, and to have this affection, which I did not have before. I am going to give everything on the field and I am ready to help the team”, he commented.

Reinier seeks stability after five loans

The native of Brasilia went from costing 30 'kilos' to only having a value of 1.5 M€, according to Transfermarkt. Reinier in the 2020/21 season played 340 minutes in 19 games with Borussia Dortmund, while in 21/22 he participated in 20 matches (405') with the German team.

Already for 22/23 he went on loan to Girona, where he could barely count on 620' in 18 matches. Likewise, for 23/24 he played the season with Frosinone Calcio, playing 1,108 minutes in 23 matches.

Finally, 24/25 he played it with Granada CF in the second division of Spanish football, where he saw action for 1,401' in 25 matches. Reinier, in all his loans, could only score 7 goals and assist in 8 opportunities.

All parties hope that the player can demonstrate a superlative level in his idea of relaunching his career, since at some point he stated that he had a kinship in his game with Kaká, whom he saw play in his different stages as a player.

"I also think I look like Kaká. As a child, I saw him play for Milan, Madrid and Brazil, and he inspired me”, he pointed out.
