PSG struck first against Arsenal in the Champions League 'semis' (0-1). Ousmane Dembélé scored the only goal of the match and the Gauls celebrated in London
For the fourth consecutive Champions League tie, Paris Saint-Germain took the lead in the first leg, this time against Arsenal in the semi-finals. Luis Enrique's side struck in London thanks to a goal from Ousmane Dembélé in the 4th minute of a match where they were superior.
In the first clear chance of the match, the former FC Barcelona forward combined with Kvaratskhelia to blast a crossed shot past David Raya, after an assist from the Georgian. The goal was the eighth for the Vernon native in the tournament and the 33rd of the season in 45 matches in all competitions.

Luis Enrique's side dominated the first half hour of the match and had at least two clear chances to extend the lead. The best was for Doué in the 31st minute, with a shot cleared with difficulty by Raya. The rebound fell to Fabián Ruiz, but the Spanish midfielder sent his shot straight to the base of the post.
Arsenal reacted before the break, but couldn't break the deadlock

Arsenal took too long to get into the game, but in the 38th minute they warned with a good arrival from Mikel Merino who was very close to causing a penalty from Joao Neves. Gabriel Martinelli would have two unbeatable opportunities before the break, but in one he shot wide and, in the other, he was met by a save from Donnarumma.
After halftime, the 'gunners' scored the equalizer after a rehearsed play from a set piece, but Mikel Merino was offside when heading in, taking advantage of a bad save from Donnarumma.
The Italian reappeared with another miraculous save in the 55th minute, after a good collective play culminated by Trossard. The Arsenal player shot well adjusted low, but the goalkeeper, with pure reflex, sent the ball to the corner. Afterwards, PSG managed to slow down the pace of the match thanks to the good work of Vitinha and Fabián Ruiz in the center of the field.
Dembélé set off the alarms at PSG before the end
The bad news for Paris came in the 70th minute, when Dembélé asked for the change due to an apparent muscular discomfort. Bradley Barcola came on for the 'Mosquito' and the Gauls created danger again thanks to a slightly high shot from Joao Neves from the edge of the area.

Saka also demanded Donnarumma with a good whiplash to the near post in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper again pulled reflexes with a saving slap. In the final minutes, Gonçalo Ramos, who had entered for Doué in the second half, wasted two unbeatable opportunities to liquidate the tie, with a shot deflected wide and another to the crossbar.
PSG and Arsenal will define Barça's or Inter's rival in France
In the end, PSG took a golden victory from London, but the tie is still totally open for the return leg at the Parc des Princes. Both teams are looking for their first Champions League and their second final, after falling against Bayern (1-0 in 2020) and Barça (2-1 in 2006), respectively.
We will have to see if Dembélé's issue remains a scare or if, finally, he suffers an injury that prevents him from playing next Wednesday, May 7. Arsenal is obliged to come back against a rival they had defeated in the league phase as locals (2-0).
The winner of the tie will face Barcelona or Inter Milan in Munich, who open their tie this Wednesday in Montjuïc.
