Hansi Flick's Barcelona hosts Eintracht at the Spotify Camp Nou this Tuesday, seeking another rout that will allow them to get closer to the TOP-8 in the Champions League standings
FC Barcelona returns to action this Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League 2025/26 with the obligation to defeat Eintracht Frankfurt. The team led by Hansi Flick plays at home again in the tournament at the Spotify Camp Nou, which two years and a half later (1,140 days) once again hosts the top European club competition.
The Catalans are coming off a loss to Chelsea and need to win, and preferably thrash Eintracht, to get closer to the top eight spots in the standings. With 7 points out of a possible 15, Barça is obligated to win all remaining three matches to have a chance to advance directly to the round of 16 within the TOP-8.
In January, Flick's team must face Slavia Prague (away) and Copenhagen (home). The schedule looks affordable, but first they must defeat an Eintracht that arrives at the Camp Nou at a very complex moment, in contrast to a Barcelona that is leading and on a winning streak in LaLiga

In between, they suffered a defeat against Chelsea, but the team has recovered most of its starters, showing a leap in collective play quality in recent weeks.

Hansi Flick will once again distribute minutes in the Barça-Eintracht

For Champions League matchday 6, Hansi Flick plans to continue rotating his lineup. **Barça still has four more games to play before the Christmas break** and the coaching staff, with almost the entire squad available for the first time this season, does not want to risk new muscle injuries from excessive playing time.
In principle, Flick will bet on Joan García in goal, while the center-back pairing of Pau Cubarsí and Gerard Martín should remain. Balde will also be a starter again, but Koundé could be rested, with Eric García returning to right-back.In midfield, **Frenkie de Jong**, absent in the last three league matches, could reappear alongside Pedri. **Raphinha and Lewandowski**, substitutes against Betis, have good chances of returning as companions to Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal in attack.
For their part, Eintracht will have to deal with the absences of their three main forwards. Top scorer **Jonathan Burkgardt** (who has scored 11 goals so far) is out with an injury, as are **Michy Batshuayi** and **Ansgar Knauff**, the latter the scorer of the equalizer (1-1) in the 2022 Europa League quarter-final tie

Eintracht will try to emerge from the crisis on their second visit to the Camp Nou
The Germans, despite their losses, will seek to at least secure a draw on their second visit to Camp Nou. A stadium where, in 2022, they made history by eliminating Barça (2-3) from the Europa League. The differences between both teams are abysmal today, but Dino Toppmöller's men will opt for a very defensive setup to try and contain the powerful Barça offense.
Barça, on the other hand, is going for another rout in front of their fans as the Champions League returns to Les Corts. **Goal difference is key to climbing positions in the general standings**, and Flick's team will try to regain ground with a resounding victoryIn any case, the *culés* know what they must do in the final stretch of the league: get full points, which, with 16 units, will be enough to enter the TOP-8 and avoid the round of 16 playoffs in mid-February
