Matchday 2 of the UEFA Champions League began this Tuesday with eight matches that resulted in eight victories and only one draw. Real Madrid's thrashing of Kairat in Kazakhstan (0-5) was the biggest result of a day in which 33 goals were scored. Atlético de Madrid and Bayern Munich also obtained 'little hands' against Eintracht Frankfurt (5-1) and Pafos (1-5), respectively.

Xabi Alonso's team began Matchday 2 with a comfortable thrashing against debutant Kairat. Kylian Mbappé scored a 'hat trick', while Eduardo Camavinga and Brahim Díaz closed a result that was too bulky for a Kazakh team that managed to make 11 shots, 4 of them on goal.

Bayern and Atlético thrash, Liverpool deflates

At the Metropolitano, Atlético continued the party after the beating of Real in the Madrid derby with another 'little hand'. This time, the victim was Frankfurt, who fell by the same result with which they had defeated Galatasaray in Matchday 1. Raspadori opened the scoring in the 4th minute, while Le Normand and Griezmann left the match resolved before the break.

Burkardt discounted for the Germans, but Gio Simeone and Julián Álvarez, from a penalty, closed the 'rojiblanca' beating. Curiously, Galatasaray, who in their debut were thrashed in Frankfurt (5-1), recovered with a victory by the minimum against a Liverpool that continues without taking off despite their 'galactic' signings.

Arne Slot's team fell in Istanbul due to a penalty by Victor Osimhen in the 16th minute (1-0) and have two defeats in a row (one in the Premier League). Bayern, on the other hand, did their homework by thrashing Pafos with goals from Harry Kane (double), Rafa Guerreiro, Nico Jackson and Michael Olise. The Bavarians, for the moment, lead the general classification with 6 points and +6 in goal difference.

Inter and Marseille also win with authority; Atalanta and Chelsea breathe

Others who added resounding victories at home were Olympique de Marseille and Inter Milan. The French crushed Ajax (4-0) with a double from Paizao and two other goals from Greenwood and Aubameyang. The Dutch, for now, are last after two defeats and -6 goal difference.

At the Giuseppe Meazza, Inter did the same against Slavia Prague (3-0), with a double from Lautaro Martínez and another goal from Denzel Dumfries. More short were the victories of Atalanta and Chelsea. The Italians came back from Tzolis' initial goal against Bruges (2-1), with a penalty from Samardzic and another goal from Pasalic in the 87th minute. The Bergamascan comeback came in the final quarter of an hour.

At Stamford Bridge, the 'blues' spoiled the return of José Mourinho with Benfica (1-0). Richard Ríos (own goal) made the difference in favor of a Chelsea that ended with ten due to the expulsion of Joao Pedro in the discount of a match that ended with seven cautioned in the Portuguese team.

Finally, in Norway, Bodo/Glimt added their second consecutive draw, this time against Tottenham (2-2). The locals came close to victory thanks to the goals of Jens Petter Hauge (double), but the 'spurs' reacted with goals from Van de Ven and Gundersen, the latter in his own goal in the 89th minute.
