Bayern Munich and Arsenal lead the Champions League 25726 group stage in Matchday 4. Real Madrid, after the defeat against Liverpool, remains fifth with 9 points
Real Madrid suffered their first defeat in the UEFA Champions League 2025/26, which keeps Bayern Munich and Arsenal as leaders of the league phase. Bavarians and Londoners are the only teams with a perfect score (12) on matchday 4, after their victories against PSG (1-2) and Slavia Prague (0-3), respectively.
The 'merengue' team, on the other hand, fell by the narrowest of margins on their visit to Liverpool (1-0). A goal from Alexis Mac Allister was the difference in a match in which Thibaut Courtois made 8 saves to prevent a rout.
In Paris, Bayern surprised PSG with a brace from Luis Díaz in the first half. The Colombian, however, was sent off before halftime, but the Bavarians held on with ten men in the second half, despite conceding a goal from Joao Neves in the 74th minute.
Arsenal, meanwhile, easily won in Prague thanks to a brace from Mikel Merino and another goal from Bukayo Saka from a penalty. On Wednesday, Inter can also reach 12 points if they defeat Kairat in Milan. Madrid, for now, is fifth with 9 points, followed by Liverpool (6th).

Atlético, Tottenham, and Monaco also won on Tuesday

At the Metropolitano, Atlético de Madrid struggled more than expected to defeat Union Saint-Gilloise (3-1). The 'colchoneros' took the lead in the first half with a goal from Julián Álvarez and extended their advantage with another goal from Connor Gallagher, but the Belgians pulled one back in the 80th minute thanks to a goal from Roos Sykes. In the 90+6 minute, Marcos Llorente closed the scoring.
Much more comfortable was the victory of Tottenham against Copenhagen (4-0). Despite Brennan Johnson's expulsion in the second half, the 'spurs' had already closed the match with goals scored by Johnson himself, Odobert, Van de Ven, and Palhinha.
The other team that managed to add 3 points on Tuesday was Monaco. The French side, without Ansu Fati available, defeated Bodo/Glimt with a goal from Folarin Balogun in the 43rd minute. Those from the Principality, for now, have 5 points, while Tottenham and Atlético reach 8 and 6 points, respectively.
Tuesday also saw three draws: Naples and Eintracht tied goalless in Italy (0-0), while Juventus also failed to win at home against Sporting CP (1-1). In Greece, Olympiacos and PSV also drew (1-1).
Matchday 4 concludes this Wednesday, November 5th with another 9 matches, including FC Barcelona's visit to Bruges. With a victory, the 'culés' can climb into the TOP-8, which grants direct access to the round of 16, once the first half of the league stage is completed.
