Three Barça players spoke to the media after Barça's 3-0 defeat to Chelsea. Eric García, Joan García, and Rashford were self-critical at Stamford Bridge
FC Barcelona's heavy defeat against Chelsea (3-0) left the squad very demoralized. After the match, only three players spoke to the media, pointing out the reasons for the Blaugrana's downfall. Both Joan García and Marcus Rashford highlighted the expulsion of Ronald Araujo as a decisive factor in Barça's debacle.
**Eric García**, for his part, was more self-critical about the team's collective performance. The Martorell native repeated as a defensive pivot and, in the second half, returned to the center of defense to cover the gap left by Araujo.
"I think they were outplaying us with their pressure. We didn't know how to adjust well. We tried to jump with the full-backs and it was impossible. We had to run after the ball the whole time," argued the '24' to 'Movistar+' at the end of the match.

In that regard, he stressed the need to correct mistakes and quickly turn the page. "We have to be more competitive in these types of matches. The duels, second balls... if you don't get tough, it's impossible to win," Eric pointed out
Joan García lost his undefeated streak with Barça
Joan García, for his part, referred to Araujo's expulsion as the turning point of the match, although he made it clear that Barça never had control of the game during the 90 minutes."It's been tough. It was eleven against eleven, and when we went down to ten men, we tried to dig deep, but they have quality and knew how to find the spaces," the Catalan goalkeeper began.

However, García defended the Barcelona captain for his red card before halftime. "Nobody likes to leave their team with one less player. The message in the locker room at halftime was to give it our all and keep playing. Their second goal soon after cut that rhythm for us," added the '13'.
For the goalkeeper, Tuesday's was his first defeat in a Barça shirt. In his first 8 appearances, the player from Sallent recorded 7 wins and 4 clean sheets. Regarding this, he commented: "We want to keep a clean sheet as many times as possible. It's true that these last few games haven't gone as we wanted, but there's nothing else to do but keep fighting."
Rashford couldn't make a difference in the second half
On the other hand, Marcus Rashford also pointed out the difficulty of playing the entire second half with ten men. The Englishman came on for **Ferran Torres** after the break, but contributed very little in attack, first as a left winger and then as a center forward.
"It was a very difficult match, especially with that red card. It was hard to come back. We tried to stay compact, but we lost a lot of balls," explained 'Rashy'. In turn, he made it clear that, beyond the numerical inferiority, the team was far from playing a good game."If you do things well with the ball, it's a game where we could have done more. We have to be ready to recover and come back at the weekend," stated Rashford, who failed to score against a Chelsea side he had previously scored against on six occasions.
