Ferran Torres scored his 7th goal of the season in the 8th minute of Bruges-Barça. Set up by Fermín López, 'El Tiburón' made it 1-1 for the Catalans
FC Barcelona started losing in Belgium against Bruges, but Ferran Torres appeared to seal the immediate reaction of the Blaugrana team. Nicolò Tresoldi put the home team ahead in the 6th minute, finishing off a quick counter-attack. Barça, however, reacted immediately at the Jan Breydel stadium.
In the 8th minute, Lamine Yamal threaded a pass to Fermín López. The player from Huelva broke the offside trap and sent a cross into the box, where the 'Shark' appeared unmarked to finish with his right foot, in one touch, leaving the goalkeeper Jackers with no chance.
The match had a very intense rhythm in the first 20 minutes. With the score at 1-1, Barça took control of possession, but Bruges took the lead again in the 17th minute with a goal from Carrlos Forbs, once again after a counter-attack where the Barça defense was completely broken.
Ferran Torres's seventh goal of 25/26
In any case, Ferran Torres once again responded with goals to Hansi Flick's confidence. The Foios native has now scored 7 goals in 13 games this season, in addition to 10 starts. Robert Lewandowski's physical problems have opened the door to the starting XI for 'El Tiburón', who has not missed the opportunities to achieve his best start to the season with Barça.
In 24/25, the '7' scored 19 goals in 45 matches. At this point last season, he had barely scored 1 goal, meaning the Valencian is on track to have his best year with the *culés*. And indeed, last season's 19 goals are, for now, his best record in four and a half years as a *blaugrana* forward.
In total, the 25-year-old forward has scored **51 goals in 171 official matches for Barça**. His contract ends in 2027, and for now, there is peace of mind regarding the future. Ferran remains focused on performing at his best and proving he can be the ideal long-term successor to Lewandowski
