Real Madrid's official Champions League schedule: Who will 'Los Blancos' debut against?

A new season begins on September 16 for Real Madrid in the Champions League. The 'Los Blancos' club wants to obtain the European title, after the last one achieved in 2024. But first, they must face a schedule that is not easy at all.

UEFA published the complete schedule of the league phase of the most important club tournament on the planet. On the first day, the ‘merengue’ will host Olympique de Marseille at the Santiago Bernabéu on September 16 at 9:00 p.m.

On September 30 (6:45 p.m.), in the second match for those led by Xabi Alonso, they will travel to Kazakhstan, more than 6,000 kilometers away, to visit the debutant Kairat Almaty.

Juventus, Liverpool and Manchester City: Tough Rivals for Madrid

It will not be easy for Real Madrid in this first phase, as they must face tough rivals such as Juventus (October 22) and Manchester City (December 10), as locals, and visit Liverpool (November 4).

The Valdebebas team will meet again with the ‘reds’ and the ‘citizens’. In the past edition, they fell in the first phase at Anfield (2-0) and against the Manchester club in the preliminary round, after winning the first leg on English soil (2-3) and the second leg at the Bernabéu (3-1).

In the middle of those complicated matches, they will have to play on the fourth matchday with Olympiacos in Greek territory (November 26).

Real Madrid finishes the schedule against Benfica and Monaco

Real Madrid will have the last two tests on the schedule against Benfica (January 20), the last champion of Portugal, and against Monaco (January 28), the team where Ansu Fati plays. These matches will be in 2026.

Xabi Alonso assured that it is “a demanding schedule” and that his players are motivated by the rivals they are going to meet.
