Jules Koundé scored the first brace of his professional career in the Barça-Eintracht match. In just three minutes, the Frenchman scored two great headers to give the Catalans the lead back
For the fourth consecutive match, FC Barcelona had to come from behind to secure victory. Against Eintracht Frankfurt, Jules Koundé was the unexpected hero for Hansi Flick's side, scoring the first brace of his career. In the 49th and 52nd minutes, two headers from the Frenchman, from crosses by Marcus Rashford and Lamine Yamal, left the Germans in shock at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Eintracht had controlled the match well after taking the lead in the 21st minute with a goal from **Ansgar Knauff**. At halftime, Flick brought on Rashford in place of **Fermín López**, and the Englishman, playing as a left winger, gave much more depth to Barça's attack.
Jules Koundé Celebrates First Champions League Goals with Barça
In the 50th minute, Rashford sent a perfect cross into the heart of the box looking for Lewandowski's head. However, it was Koundé who appeared behind the German center-backs. The full-back got past **Theate**, flicking an impossible ball for goalkeeper **Zetterer** towards the far post.
Three minutes later, a corner taken short by Rashford led to a floated cross from Lamine. The ball seemed to never come down, and only Jules perfectly read its trajectory. Frankfurt's defense once again forgot about the Barça '23', who this time delivered a well-placed header to celebrate his brace.
Koundé makes history with his brace of headers

Koundé hadn't scored in the Champions League since 2020, when he was still wearing the Sevilla jersey. Furthermore, his goals allowed Hansi Flick's team to come back from a halftime deficit for the first time since the German coach took the helm at the Camp Nou.
This season, the right-back had scored against Real Sociedad (2-1) in matchday 7 of LaLiga. In total, the Paris-born player has 10 goals and 20 assists in 161 official matches for Barça.
Furthermore, in the Champions League, **no Barça player had managed to score a brace with headers in the same match**, until this Tuesday, December 9, 2025, when the Catalan team returned to Spotify Camp Nou after 1,140 days without playing in Les Corts in Europe's top club competition.
After the match, the full-back received the Man of the Match award and praised the team's performance in the second half. He also explained that his goals were the result of their hard work in training.
"The first goal was something we had practiced. It was my job to get there; I knew Rashford likes to play those kinds of balls. For the second goal, I tried to curl it into the box, but it went into the net. I'm a bit surprised, but sometimes you need a bit of luck," he told Movistar+ after the game.
