Lamine Yamal scored his first Champions League penalty and second of the season against Olympiacos (6-1). The Barça '10' is the second youngest player to score from the spot in the tournament
FC Barcelona crushed Olympiacos (6-1) on a perfect night for the team led by Hansi Flick. Despite the casualties, the 'Culés' won by a landslide thanks to stellar performances from Fermín López, Marcus Rashford and Lamine Yamal. The '10' added a goal and an assist, in addition to reaching another record with Barça.
In the 68th minute, the player from Mataró scored his first penalty in the UEFA Champions League, after a foul by goalkeeper Tzolakis on Rashford. Referee Urs Schnyder ended up calling the penalty after reviewing the play on the monitor, and the 18-year-old winger fooled the Greek goalkeeper with a soft shot to the middle of the goal.
For Lamine, this was his third goal of the 25/26 season, the second from a penalty. The '10' had already scored in this way against Rayo (1-1) and already has 7 goals and 8 assists in 26 appearances in the Champions League.
Lamine Yamal, Second Youngest Player to Score a Penalty in the Champions League

At 18 years and 100 days old, Lamine Yamal became on Tuesday the second youngest footballer to score a penalty in Europe's top club competition. The record is held by another Barça youth player, Bojan Krkic, who scored from the penalty spot in the 'manita' of the Azulgrana team against Sporting CP (2-5) at 18 years and 90 days old.
That rout occurred on matchday five of the 2008/09 group stage, with Pep Guardiola on the Barça bench. In 25/26, Lamine seems to be establishing himself as a penalty specialist given the injuries to Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski. For now, the player from Rocafonda boasts 100% efficiency from the spot.

A Complete Day for Lamine Against Olympiacos
Against Olympiacos, the winger also added an assist, his sixth of the season, maintaining his lead in this statistical category for the team. Lamine came close to scoring in the 7th minute, but the quick reaction of goalkeeper Tzolakis prevented him from shooting after leaving two opponents behind.
However, the rebound off the Greek goalkeeper favored him, and the '10' left the ball perfectly placed for Fermín, who had started the play with Balde, to finish into an empty net. The ball hit center-back Retsos and the post before going in. During the match, Yamal also contributed with 3 ball recoveries, 2 defensive actions, and 4 dribbles.
