THE CHAMPIONS CHANGES FORMAT
The Champions League is preparing for its 'revolution' in 2024/2025
We are experiencing the last Champions League with the format to which we are accustomed and there will be many changes that will occur in the match calendar. The competition has deepened its modifications
they are defining A lot of details of the new format of the Champions League that will go in in force from the next season. The UEFA confirmed that the competition will happen to have 36 participants and will finish the phase of groups 'usual'. Now, there will be an alone league and each team will confront to eight rivals, four home and four to domicile.
The clubs will divide in four bass drums, depending of the coefficient that have, and of there will define the rivals for each team. They will add , equally, three points by victory and one by tie to try scalar positions in the global classification, put all will be in the same League. After the eight days to contest , will produce the phase of classification: The first eight in the table will have his pass to the eighth of final of direct way and the rest of squares will contest it the teams between the position 9 and the 24 in a 'playoff' to double party. They will be local in the turn the teams that have remained between the 9ª and the 17ª position.
From there, it will live the Champions League as we know it up to now. Like peculiarity, the teams that remain between the 25ª and the 36ª square will remain entirely deleted, without option to participate in the Europe or Conference League. The eighth, fourth and semifinals will play to double party, whereas the final will follow to only party. It will play in the Allianz Sand, house of the Bayern of Munich, on 31 May 2025.
