The director of competitions of the UEFA, Giorgio Marchetti, has gone back to defend to the UEFA of the indictments of "hot or cold balls" that carry pouring from does time against the organisation, after some very controversial draws
The director of competitions of the UEFA, Giorgio Marchetti, has made some statements in which it has defended to the maximum organisation of the European football of the indictments of supposed amaños in the draws, ensuring that it treats of "a prank".
"How we can have hot balls or cold balls? It is impossible. With the category of the people that invite for the draws never would dare me to ask to somebody something that was not honest in the draw. How I can say this to ancient big players? It is a prank", has expressed in an interview conceded to "Football Talks".
The director of competitions of the UEFA has offered this Thursday a conference on the models of the European competitions until 2021, descartando that the massive presence in the League of Champions of the four main European leagues involve that the competition do more elitist.
"We keep the format with 32 teams and, at least, 17 federations represented. Therefore, speak of a League of Champions more exclusive does not correspond with the truth", has defended Giorgio Marchetti.
The UEFA does not want to more fires with the draws
In spite of that in the last draw of chambers of Champions League the Real Madrid remained matched with the Bayern Munich, big part of the fans of the FC Barcelona think that the Real Madrid is used to to go out benefited to the detriment of the Barça in the pairings, and the reality of the last draws does not leave place to the doubts taking into account the rivals that have gone them touching to one and another team during the last years.
The newspaper "Marks", in any case, ensured days backwards that the UEFA would feel in the middle of a supposed "war" Real Madrid-Barcelona, and the directors of the European competition would think that so much Barça as Real Madrid and, especially, the media, would be using the Champions League like the best possible shop window to "air the clash" between the eternal rival.
