The highest body in European football considers the behavior of the German supporters "unacceptable" and has applied an exemplary punishment.
The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body concluded that the incidents violated several articles of the Disciplinary Regulations, after confirming the throwing of objects, the lighting of flares, material damage to the facilities, and disturbances with other sections of the public.
Ban on Ticket Sales and Economic Sanction
The most forceful measure adopted by UEFA is the prohibition of ticket sales to Eintracht fans for their team's next two away games in European competitions. This decision aims to curb such repeated behavior in stadiums at its root.
In addition, the German club will have to pay a **fine of 38,000 euros**, an amount that UEFA considers proportional to the seriousness of the events recorded in Barcelona and their impact on the security of the match
Material damage at Spotify Camp Nou
The disciplinary file also records the significant damage caused to the Barça stadium. Among the damages noted are a partition separating the fans, several ripped-out seats, and vandalized toilets during the match.
For this reason, UEFA obliges Eintracht to contact FC Barcelona within a maximum of 30 days from the official notification to take charge of the repair of the damages caused at the Camp Nou. The blaugrana club has estimated the cost of the damages at around 6,000 euros.
