OFFICIAL! The 2030 World Cup will be played in Spain

Good news for Spain, since it will go back to house a World-wide after 48 years. The president of the FIFA, Gianni Infantino, announced the Wednesday that Spain, together with Portugal and Morocco, will be the conjoint headquarters of the Glass of the masculine World in 2030. Besides, will carry out the inaugural duels in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay like a homage to the first edition of the Glass of the World, that took place in Uruguay in 1930.

It is important to stand out that during the past week carried out several meetings in the City of the Football of Brush Them, headquarters of the Real Spanish Federation of Football, to speed up the key details of this candidature. The decision will be ratified in a Congress of the FIFA programmed for December of 2024.

Likewise, Fouzi Lekjaa, mandator of the Real Moroccan Federation of Football, contributed the following: "it Is an honour and a responsibility the one who have in front of us and a privilege join strengths with Portugal and Spain to prepare a dossier of candidature that, am sure, will make history and will promote to the organisation to a new level".

Neither the controversies with the RFEF could 'brake' the candidature of Spain

The adjudication of the event arrives in a moment crucial for the Spanish football, since it found crossing difficulties because of the 'case Negreira' and to the 'case Rubiales', that generated controversy in the RFEF. This situation posed legitimate worries on how could affect the possibilities of Spain to be selected like headquarters, considering the competition with Saudi Arabia, Greece and Egypt.

Nevertheless, the Upper Council of Sports (CSD) has exerted a paper stood out when ensuring that the controversies that surround to the Spanish football do not affect the candidature of Spain. The CSD has backed the candidature, presenting solid and positive arguments that back the capacity of Spain to organise an event of this magnitude.

Besides, the president in functions of the Spanish nation, Pedro Sánchez, gathered with Gianni Infantino in New York to transmit him that Spain, Portugal and Morocco are working in a solid "and ambitious candidature" to house the World-wide of the year 2030.

How much has presupuestado Spain to invest to organise this Glass of the World?

It is important to mention that Spain has planned to make a significant investment for the organisation of the Glass of the World. In a first moment, conceded a subvention of 7,5 million euros to the Real Spanish Federation of Football for the preparation and development of the candidature. According to the CSD, this initial investment will allocate to strengthen the Spanish candidature through diverse activities.

This subvention is only the beginning of a series of investments that the Government has presupuestado in 1430 million euros. Of this quantity, 750 'kilos' will allocate to investments in infrastructures, whereas other 680 M€ will invest in organisational costs. This figure is considerably lower in comparison with the investment made by Qatar to organise the World-wide of 2022, that rose to 200.000 million dollars, being the highest investment in the history of the world-wide.
