Pau Víctor seals Braga's qualification
The first leg was played this August 21 at the Algarve Stadium in Portugal and the former FC Barcelona player came off the bench in the 65th minute to contribute to the rout in favor of the Portuguese team.
The 23-year-old forward is gradually adding minutes with his new club, where he had already played a couple of league matches and two others in the qualifying phase of the Europa League, totaling 163 minutes with 'The Archbishops'.
The former 'culé' made his debut as a scorer in the first matchday of the Primeira Liga scoring the second goal in the 37th minute in a match that would end in a rout against Tondela (3-0). From La Masia to Europe: Pau Víctor will play his second major tournament
Pau Víctor landed in Braga from Barça after not having opportunities with the first team and seeing a scarce 379 minutes spread over 29 matches in which he managed to score two goals and provide one assist.
The player from San Cugat del Vallés arrived at Braga for 12 million euros, a significant amount that entered the coffers of the 'blaugrana' team, especially for its profitability, since he was signed for 5.50 'kilos'.
The attacker is gradually taking on a leading role in the squad of Spanish coach Carlos Vicens, his qualification for the next phase of the Europa League will give him the opportunity to compete with some of the best teams on the continent and grow as a footballer.
In addition, the Catalan forward will play his second European tournament, after making his debut in the Champions League the previous year. Pau had minutes in six of the 'azulgrana' team's 14 matches in the competition, including the extra time of the 'semis' against Inter. Will this be his great year in Europe?
