The squad and board of FC Barcelona will depart for the Asian continent this Friday at 12:15 (Catalan time) to carry out the preseason tour. After a week and a half of physical work at the Ciutat Esportiva, the team led by Hansi Flick will play a friendly in Japan and two others in South Korea.
Joan Laporta opted for Asia this summer, understanding that, after the Club World Cup played in the United States, it was less profitable to go to North America. In total, Barça expects to earn around 15 million euros for its expedition to Japan and Korea, where they will face Vissel Kobe, FC Seoul and Daegu FC.
The Barça delegation will depart for Kobe on Thursday morning. The flight should last more than 12 hours, so Barça expects to land in the morning in Japan, where the difference is 7 hours compared to Catalonia.
Barça will spend four days in Japan before going to Korea
In that sense, the club hopes to arrive at the Hotel Portopia in Kobe at around 7:30 local time (1:30 a.m. Catalan time) to, subsequently, carry out a double physical work session at 11:00 and 18:00 hours. On Saturday there will only be a morning training session at 10:00 and another on Sunday at the same time, prior to the match against Vissel Kobe.
The match at the Noevir Stadium will be played from 19:00 (12:00 CEST) in front of some 30,000 spectators. Barça will be in Japan until Tuesday the 29th, when they will travel to the capital of South Korea, Seoul, arriving at noon to stay at the Four Seasons Seoul Hotel.
They will be there until Monday, August 4. Flick's team will face FC Seoul on Thursday, July 31 at 20:00 local time (13:00 CEST) and, subsequently, will go to the city of Daegu to face the local team on Monday, August 4, at the same time as the match in Seoul.
Barça's return to Catalonia, on Tuesday, August 5
Finally, the club will return to Barcelona on Tuesday, August 5 to prepare for the last preseason friendly, the Joan Gamper Trophy. The match is scheduled for Sunday, August 10 at 21:00 against Como from Italy at the Johan Cruyff Stadium.
Six days later, Barça will begin their journey in LaLiga 25/26 against Mallorca at Son Moix (Saturday 16th at 19:30). The 'culés' will play their first three matches away from home to give an extra month to the remodeling work of the Spotify Camp Nou, whose reopening should take place in mid-September against Valencia.
