Aitana, Graham and Salma: the essence of Barça in the IFFHS XI of the Year
The Barça talent shines in women's football with three outstanding players in the ideal eleven of 2024 according to the IFFHS
FC Barcelona women continue to establish themselves as a world leader, and this is evident in each award and ranking that recognises the best players in international football. This year, three of its stars have been included in the prestigious 2024 IFFHS team of the year: Aitana Bonmatí, Caroline Graham Hansen and Salma Paralluelo.
These players had already demonstrated their dominance at the Ballon d'Or gala last October in Paris, where Aitana was crowned the winner. as the best in the world, while Graham and Salma completed the podium in second and third place, respectively.
The XI of the Year, which reflects the best of global women's football, also includes other standout figures: Alyssa Naeher in goal; Tarciane, Viggsdottir and Naomi Girma in defence; Lindsey Horan in midfield; and an attack consisting of Trinity Rodman, Sophia Smith and Barba Banda.
