The players Alejandro Balde and Marc Casadó have been medically cleared and will be available to Hansi Flick starting this Sunday
The Fútbol Club Barcelona has received two pieces of good news ahead of this Sunday's Clásico. Alejandro Balde and Marc Casadó have been medically cleared this Saturday and will be available for Hansi Flick, should the coach decide to include them in the squad against Real Madrid.
Marc Casadó had been out since March 18, when a partial tear of the external lateral ligament in his right knee was confirmed. For his part, Balde was injured on April 12 in the match against Leganés, after suffering a distal injury to the biceps femoris muscle in his left thigh. The full-back had to leave the field after a defensive action in the first half, being replaced by Gerard Martín.
Alejandro Balde has been a key player in Flick's schemes this season. To date, he has played 42 official matches, 37 of them as a starter, establishing himself as one of the most used players by the German coach.
The recovery of both players reinforces the culé squad at a decisive moment of the season, just before a Clásico that could be key to the outcome of the championship.
