Calendar of FC Barcelona

The FC Barcelona legend and ambassador of a well-known betting house, Rivaldo, recently spoke about the current state of the club at a promotional event. The 1999 Ballon d'Or winner surrendered to Lamine Yamal and the game displayed by the team led by Hansi Flick, praising the talent of the player from Mataró and the great offensive display of the team during the 2024-25 season.

"Lewandowski, Yamal, and Raphinha have everything to be a trio that makes history at Barcelona. The way they are playing shows that the team is also very united. From the outside, you can see that the players are connected, focused, and without egos within the team," began the Brazilian legend, who also believes that this Barça has more than enough arguments to be a favorite in the Champions League.

"Their football is captivating fans and the whole world, who are enjoying watching the team play again. There is still a long championship ahead, but today I see Barcelona with a lot of chances to go far in this Champions and with options to be champions", argued Rivaldo. In that sense, the player from Recife considers Lamine a decisive factor to dream of a new 'ear' trophy.

Rivaldo is clear: Lamine should be the new '10' of Barça

"Lamine plays as if he were 25 years old, with a lot of experience, he plays with ease. It has already been said that next season he will wear the number 10 jersey. With the personality he has, he will surely soon be a candidate for best player in Europe and the world," said the former Barça player about the player from Mataró. He also valued his style of play, character, and humility both on and off the field, emphasizing his admiration for the young player.

"He is a boy who deserves all the good things he is achieving because of the person he is. You can tell he is humble, he hasn't let fame or money go to his head and I admire players who have that kind of attitude," Rivaldo pointed out. On the other hand, the Brazilian referred to the new format of the Champions, which he believes makes big teams "relax too soon" and end up being eliminated very early, citing the Manchester City-Real Madrid match as an example.
