Calendar of FC Barcelona

In a period where injuries have significantly affected the Catalan team, FC Barcelona continues to receive good news about the recovery of a particular case: Ansu Fati. The player from Bissau continues to show very promising signs in his recovery from plantar fasciitis which he suffered in his right foot on July 24, preventing him from participating in Barcelona's 24/25 pre-season tour and also from making his official debut with the team in this new season.

Currently, the '10' of the Catalan squad is progressing rapidly, suggesting that his return is getting closer. Once again, the talented academy player has participated in part of Barça's training session, which took place on Monday morning at the Joan Gamper Sports City, as part of the preparations for the upcoming match on Sunday, September 15 against Girona (16:15h) at Montilivi.

It is worth noting that the forward has joined the group in part of the training session, which is very positive considering that he had previously been doing individual work. His progressive inclusion in the sessions under the supervision of the German coach suggests that it would not be unreasonable to expect that, depending on his physical evolution during the rest of the week, the coach may be able to count on him for the clash against Girona. This, of course, is subject to him receiving medical clearance soon.

How did Monday morning's training session for Barça unfold?

Regarding Barcelona's Monday morning training session, it is worth mentioning that the German coach still does not have all his players available, as several of them are still committed to their national teams: Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo, Pedri González, and Lamine Yamal with Spain; Pablo Torre and Pau Cubarsí with the U-21 team; Robert Lewandowski with Poland, Marc-André ter Stegen with Germany, and Jules Koundé with France.

On the other hand, he has also not been able to count on the injured players Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Fermín López, and Marc Bernal, while Frenkie de Jong and Pablo Gavi continue with their recovery plans apart from the group. Additionally, in the absence of so many key players, some players from the reserve team such as Landry Farré, Trilli, Pedro Soma, and Juan Hernández have been called upon to balance the team during the training session.
