Barça 'fishes' again in Espanyol: Who is it?

In the sports management of FC Barcelona there are no rest days, neither for the first team nor for the club's lower categories. In that sense, the 'azulgrana' team announced the arrival of Pol Mancheño, in principle, to play with the Juvenil B.

The player arrives from Espanyol and signed with Barça for three seasons (until 2028). Likewise, this represents the first professional contract for the center forward, according to recent reports.

During the past year, the 16-year-old player saw action on the field with the Cadete A of the 'blanquiazul' team. In addition, the young striker has also been an international Under-15 with the Spanish national team, which reinforces his profile as one of the most outstanding talents of his generation. 

Pol Mancheño, a diamond that Barça snatched from Real Madrid

Throughout the past season, the talented striker signed a outstanding performance by scoring 23 goals with Espanyol's Infantil A, a figure that did not go unnoticed by several major clubs. Among them, Real Madrid, who seemed to have his incorporation to La Fábrica very advanced.

However, the blaugrana team managed to get ahead in the operation and has finally secured his services. The player is already training with the 'azulgrana' Juvenil B, to continue his development within the formative structure of La Masia.

Pol Mancheño, third player that Barça incorporates directly from Espanyol

In this context, if there is a team that surely will not want to know anything about Barça, it is Espanyol. The 'perico' team has seen how, during this summer market, the blaugrana team has secured the services of up to three players linked to the 'blanquiazul' colors.

First, Barcelona took their starting goalkeeper, Joan García, from Espanyol, after paying his release clause of 25 million euros and presenting him with a contract until 2031.

The goalkeeper native to Sallent will become Barça's starting goalkeeper for the 2025/26 season. Apart from the goalkeeper, a few weeks ago, the 'azulgrana' team also incorporated Roger Martínez, midfielder who terminated his contract with the 'pericos'.

The player signed for two seasons with Barça, and is currently recovering after suffering a glenohumeral dislocation in his left shoulder, which will keep him out for between 8 and 10 weeks.
