The activities of the Barça Legends do not stop. Recently, it has been officially announced that the team led by Albert Ferrer will play a friendly match in Mexico on August 31, where they will face the Tigres Leyendas.
This match will take place at the Estadio Universitario, home of the Tigres. It is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 p.m. (Mexico time), which is approximately 2:00 a.m. Spanish time.
Great legends of Barcelona and Tigres, confirmed
The match will feature great stars from the Barça team such as Andrés Iniesta, David Villa, Edgar Davids and Rafa Márquez. As the Barça club clarifies, the rest of the stars who will be present in this duel will be announced in the coming weeks.
For its part, the Mexican team has also confirmed some of its stars, such as Lucas Lobos, Jesús Dueñas, Rafael Sobis, Juninho, Hugo Ayala, Israel Jiménez and Egidio Arévalo.
History and upcoming matches of the Barça Legends
It should be noted that this will be the sixth match that the Barça Legends will play this year, after the following matches:
- 1-1 against Real Madrid Leyendas (3-4 penalty shootout victory for Real Madrid) in Bayamón (Puerto Rico).
- 0-2 defeat against Real Madrid Leyendas in Mumbai (India).
- 2-2 against Real Madrid Leyendas (8-7 victory for Real Madrid in penalties) in Toluca (Mexico).
- 1-3 victory against Geo 11 in Tbilisi (Georgia).
It is worth remembering that the Barça Legends still have to play the match against River Plate, which will take place next Saturday, July 19 at the Estadio Más Monumental in Argentina.
