The club will refund the amount to subscribers affected by the technical errors during the Barça-Vissel Kobe match in Japan
FC Barcelona has made the determination to refund the money invested by the Azulgrana fans who tried to watch the match between the Culé team and Vissel Kobe —with a 1-3 Blaugrana victory— through the streaming broadcast offered on the Culers Premium service. This paid subscription promised to broadcast the match normally.
However, the broadcast of the match between the Catalan team and the Japanese team could not be enjoyed in optimal conditions by the Culers Premium subscribers. The reason? The Barcelona team argued that the signal suffered a presumed massive attack from pirate pages that tried to illegally broadcast the match on other platforms.
Faced with this, Barça activated its digital defense system, which ended up negatively affecting legitimate users. Thus preventing many from seeing the match as planned.
Barcelona reacted by broadcasting the match for free on YouTube
To deal with this contingency and given the high demand from fans eager to follow the first match of the preseason, the club enabled an alternative broadcast through its official YouTube channel. Through this channel, the match could be viewed with complete normality.
Consequently, with the aim of compensating those who paid to watch the match exclusively through Culers Premium, FC Barcelona will proceed to fully refund the amount of the subscription corresponding to this unfulfilled service.
- 📌Subscription price to Culers Premium: 39.99 € per year.
- 📌 Subscription price to YouTube Membership: 9.99 € per month.
Barça's next matches will be paid again on Culers Premium
However, as reported by sources from the Azulgrana team, this does not imply that the following preseason matches will be broadcast for free, as happened exceptionally against Vissel Kobe. To follow the matches against FC Seoul (07/31) and Daegu FC (08/04), both in South Korea, those interested must register again and pay the subscription cost through Culers Premium.
In the case of club members, access to these matches will be free. They will be able to register on the platform using a code sent directly to their emails by Barcelona.
The Catalan team is working to stabilize Culers Premium for the upcoming matches
In this sense, FC Barcelona is already working to ensure that the Culers Premium platform functions stably and can support the foreseeable flow of users that the upcoming matches will have. The intention is that the broadcast will take place as initially planned, ruling out broadcasting the matches through conventional television stations or the club's usual channel, Barça One, which is currently in a process of redefinition.
