Barça and Madrid reaffirm their support for the Super League despite the EU verdict
Both Joan Laporta and Florentino Pérez attended the conference given by the CEO of the Super League this Friday in response to the opinion of the European Union's general counsel
The Superliga has not remained of arms crossed after the opinion no vinculante of the Court of Justice of the European Union (TJUE). The lawyer designated Athanasios Rantos gave his verdict in which it accepted that so much the UEFA like the FIFA have the authority to apply sanctions to the clubs that decide to initiate or participate in an independent competition. In front of this, the CEO of the Superliga, Bernd Reichart, has given his answer in a conference in the Hotel Mandarin Oriental Ritz of the city of Madrid.
The executive director of 'To22 Sports Management', company that is managing the realisation of the project, affirmed that the competition is more alive that never. "This is not died, neither much less. It is very very alive. The clubs want to be the owners of his own destination and will follow working for that. Also to the youngsters that ask parties more trascendentes", sentenced the German.
The speech had the presence of Florentino Pérez, president of the Real Madrid; and Joan Laporta, mandator of the FC Barcelona, those who reaffirm once again his support like founders of the Superliga. "Today it has not come Andrea Agnelli (ex-president of the Juventus) because his aeroplane has not been able to go out of Turín but the contact is permanent.
