Barça will return to action next October 18 when they host Girona. The calendar demands 4 League matches and 2 Champions League matches for Flick's team in the next 3 weeks
FC Barcelona will once again have a very demanding schedule after the second break of the 2025/26 season. The team managed by Hansi Flick will play a total of six matches in a span of 22 days (three weeks), including the first Liga Clásico against Real Madrid.
The Barça team, which closed last week with defeats against PSG (1-2) and Sevilla (4-1), returns to action next Saturday, October 18 against Girona, in Montjuïc (16:15 CEST). Afterwards, the 'culés' will play a couple of Champions League matchdays (against Olympiacos and Bruges) and another three LaLiga matches.
Real Madrid, the toughest opponent in a calendar that is, in theory, affordable for Barça

Once the Catalan derby against Girona is over, Barcelona will host Olympiacos, again in Montjuïc, for the Champions League. The match will be played on Tuesday, October 21 at 18:45 CEST, opening the third matchday of the league phase.
Five days later, it's time to visit Real Madrid for matchday 10 of LaLiga (4:15 PM CEST). One year after the thrashing (0-4) that began Flick's side's dominance in Clásicos, the Barça team returns to Chamartín in search of their fifth consecutive victory against 'Los Blancos' and with the mission of regaining the LaLiga lead.
The following week there will be a break, until Sunday, November 2, when Barça hosts Elche (6:30 PM), with the venue still to be confirmed. On Wednesday, November 5, they will visit Bruges, for the fourth matchday of the Champions League, while on Sunday the 9th there will also be a trip, but to Balaídos against Celta.
Both matches, against the Belgians and Galicians, will be played at 9:00 PM and precede the third international break of the season, the last of 2025. The team will pause its activities again until the weekend of November 22-23, when they will host Athletic. Hopefully, the Spotify Camp Nou will be ready for that date in its phase 1B (45,000 spectators).
Upcoming Barça matches:
- Home matches: 3
- Away matches: 3
- League matchdays: 4
- Champions League matchdays: 2
- Opponents: Girona, Olympiacos, Real Madrid, Elche, Brugge, and Celta
Olympiacos and Bruges, rivals in Champions
In the Champions League, Hansi Flick's team's next rivals will be Olympiacos and Bruges, two matches where Barça is obligated to add all 6 points to get closer to the spots for direct qualification to the round of 16 (1st to 8th qualify directly).
The Greeks, before their visit to Montjuïc, have barely added up to one point in the first two matchdays, after drawing in Piraeus against Pafos (0-0) and falling to Arsenal on matchday 2 (2-0). José Luis Mendilibar's team has yet to score in the tournament and are third in their league, behind AEK and PAOK.
Bruges, meanwhile, debuted in the Champions League with a surprising thrashing of Monaco (4-1) in Belgium, but fell in their visit to Atalanta (2-1) on the second matchday. As it is an away game, Barça will have to take the match against Nicky Hayen's team much more seriously, who are currently second in the Belgian league behind Union Saint Gilloise.
