From FC Barcelona they are aiming high in relation to the new Spotify Camp Nou. From the 'culé' team they point out that the final of the 2030 World Cup, which will be held mainly in Spain, Morocco and Portugal, should be played in the 'azulgrana' venue.

And it is no wonder; a stadium that when fully completed will be able to accommodate at least 104,600 fans has everything to be a serious candidate to host one of the most important sporting events of the year.

That is why Elena Fort, vice president of the institutional area of Barça, in an interview with 'El Larguero', presented the candidacy of the 'blaugrana' venue. "Everyone has the right to play their cards, but the Camp Nou is worthy of hosting a World Cup final," she said.

In this sense, according to the report presented by FIFA last December, the Camp Nou meets all the requirements to host all the important matches of the competition.

The Camp Nou, better than the Bernabéu according to FIFA

Although both the Spotify Camp Nou and the Santiago Bernabéu are the best positioned for the most important matches, as is the Grand Stade Hassan II in Casablanca, the city of Barcelona has greater advantages than the Spanish capital, according to FIFA.

In this sense, although Barcelona and Madrid tied in the categories of transport and accommodation with a 5, the Catalan city beats Madrid in the category of spaces suitable for 'fan zones' by two tenths.

The capacity that the Camp Nou will already have at that time leaves the Santiago Bernabéu far behind, which can accommodate 84,000 people. However, the Grand Stade Hassan II could allow the entry of 115,000 fans.

The VIP boxes are also part of the advantages of the new Camp Nou, as it will have 9,400 exclusive seats.

The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Louzán, said that, although the capital is Madrid, the Camp Nou cannot be ignored, and that FIFA will have to assess the situation well.

"There are three stadiums planned for the location of the final. It is clear that the capital of Spain is in Madrid, but, at the same time, the Camp Nou stadium, which will have a capacity of 105,000 spectators, is included. But it is a decision that FIFA has to assess adequately; they will have the last word."

2030 World Cup: Between Europe and South America

It is expected that three World Cup matches will be played in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, as it will be 100 years since the tournament, which was played for the first time in Montevideo, capital of the eastern country.

Similarly, the matches to be played in these three countries will be the inaugural ones. After this, the tournament will be played exclusively in Europe.

The matches in South America would take place between June 8 and 9, 2030, and the stadiums available for the face-to-face matches will be the Centenario of Montevideo, the Monumental of Buenos Aires and the Osvaldo Domínguez Dibb of Asunción.
