Barça registers 10,619 new members in 2024/25 and exceeds 140,000 again, driven by La Masia and the performance of the first team.

Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona has reached a new institutional milestone: it has once again exceeded the barrier of 140,000 members. It does so after adding 10,619 new registrations during the 2024/25 season, a significant rebound after three seasons of more discreet figures.

This growth occurs in a particular context: the move to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, the explosion of young talent from La Masia and the push of a revitalized first team under the orders of Hansi Flick. A cocktail of factors that has restored enthusiasm to the Barça social mass.

Record number of new members in 2024/25: more than 10,000 incorporations

FC Barcelona has registered a total of 10,619 new members during the 2024/25 season. This figure represents an absolute record since the activation of unrestricted digital registration, implemented in the spring of 2022 after a statutory modification.

The evolution of new incorporations in recent courses has been as follows:

Season New members
2021/22 6,049
2022/23 6,641
2023/24 5,710
2024/25 10,619

The difference is evident: the growth of this course more than doubles the data of the previous year, consolidating a trend of institutional recovery.

La Masia, Flick and the Estadi Olímpic: keys to the rebound

This notable increase in the number of members cannot be understood without observing the sporting and emotional context that has accompanied the club. The 2024/25 season has meant the consolidation of a new generation of footballers trained at La Masia, whose performance has sparked a wave of enthusiasm among fans.

In addition, the arrival of Hansi Flick to the Barça bench has breathed fresh air into the project, providing a more recognizable and competitive football proposal. All this in a year of transition, with the first men's team playing their matches at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, away from the emblematic Camp Nou in full remodeling.

Against all odds, the change of stadium has not meant a brake on the loyalty of the fans, but rather an emotional impulse that many have wanted to translate into formal commitment to the club.

The census grows again after the adjustment of the previous season

After the club suffered a major purge of the census in the 2023/24 season —when 14,558 members were deregistered for not updating their data—, the total number of members had been reduced to just over 133,000.

With the new registrations, Barça once again exceeds 140,000 members, a figure that will be officially confirmed at the next Ordinary General Assembly.

This data not only reflects a quantitative increase, but also a qualitative improvement in the management of the social base, after years of attempts to adapt the registration system to digital times.

Digital registration and profile of the new member: younger and more online

One of the great drivers of the increase has been the digital registration channel, which continues to gain weight. Of the 10,619 new incorporations:

  • 7,232 registrations have been made through the online channel.
  • 3,387 registrations have been in person, at the club's offices.

In addition, the profile of the new members reveals a commitment to generational change:

Age range Number of new members
Over 15 years old 7,615
Between 6 and 14 years old 1,661
Under 6 years old 1,343

This rejuvenation of the census, together with the massive use of the online channel, draws a new generation of culés who not only consume football, but actively link to the club from an early age.

Barça continues to grow off the field

The growth of the Barça social mass in 2024/25 is not an isolated phenomenon, but part of a global strategy of the club to recover institutional muscle in full sporting and patrimonial reconstruction.

While the Spotify Camp Nou advances in its modernization works, the club demonstrates that it is still capable of attracting new members even in complex logistical circumstances. A sign of institutional vitality that will be key in the coming years.

With more than 140,000 active members, Barça not only maintains its place among the sports entities with the most subscribers in the world, but also reinforces its popular base in a moment of profound transformation.

FC Barcelona has once again taken a firm step on its path of reconstruction, and it has done so by reinforcing its greatest asset: its people. With more than 10,000 new registrations and a rejuvenated census, the club not only grows in number, but in future.
