This is the new Barça shirt for the 2025/26 season: new design, nods to the senyera and record sales
Finally, FC Barcelona has announced what their first kit will be for the 2025/26 season. A shirt revealed in the framework of a novel campaign called "We Define Tomorrow" and which, from the Barcelona team, they explain verbatim as: "a commitment to combining legacy and innovation", as well as "tradition with the future".
The culé jersey was officially presented through an audiovisual material in which several elements of the first team are seen using it: Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Alejandro Balde, Fermín López, Pedri González and Robert Lewandowski. In that meeting of Azulgrana stars, they all comment on their impressions of the new shirt, highlighting the statement of Lamine, predictable new '10' of the club, who made it clear that the shirt has "the smell of Champions League".
In turn, in the same audiovisual, the aforementioned players of the first team are seen talking about what was, in their opinion, the best moment of the season. Most agreed on pointing out the champions parade, although other options such as the 0-4 at the Bernabéu or the Copa del Rey final (3-2 against Real Madrid) also sounded.
The new FC Barcelona shirt: an innovative design with Azulgrana essence
Returning to the subject of the shirt, this new version presents a change in the design of the classic blue and garnet stripes, adopting a gradient style. The result is a purple coloration that crosses the stripes diagonally, providing dynamism and a sense of acceleration to the jersey of the Catalan team.
As for aesthetic details, inside the neck of the shirt you can read "FC Barcelona", something that is also perceived on the back, just below the nape of the neck. Two elements that, according to the club, "unite the Barça flag with the senyera - the flag of Catalonia".
In addition, the logos of the sponsors, such as Spotify and Nike (on the front), Ambilight TV (on the sleeve) and UNHCR/ACNUR (on the back, below the number), appear in yellow, following the line of recent years.
Record sales and expectation for Lamine's number 10
The kit can already be purchased from July 2 in the Barça Store, on the club's website and through Nike, official sponsor. In principle, the start of sales has been a success: numerous fans crowded from early hours of the morning in the Botiga del Spotify Camp Nou to buy the shirt for the 2025/26 season.
As a relevant fact, although Barcelona does not officially market Lamine Yamal's shirt with the number 10, on the website it still appears with a "mysterious number" ('1?'), next to a notice that informs: "It can be purchased, but will not be delivered until its number is officially confirmed (name and number). Thank you for your understanding".
Despite this, most fans do not hesitate to take the personalized shirt with the '10' and the name of Lamine Yamal. This, taking advantage of the number that has been free after Ansu Fati's departure to Monaco.
It has also been confirmed, according to sources close to the club, that Pau Cubarsí's shirt has been one of the best sellers in this start.
Also, as reported by RAC1, FC Barcelona has already surpassed the record for sales in a single day at 13:00 h this Wednesday, thanks to the launch of this new jersey. Definitely, the new and attractive shirt is breaking the market, generating a remarkable illusion in a fan base that is already eagerly awaiting the start of the 2025/26 season.
