Barça won their first U-18 Club World Cup in Córdoba, thanks to a narrow victory against Racing de Avellaneda (1-0)
FC Barcelona now has the title of U-18 world champion in its trophy cabinet. This Wednesday, the team led by Cesc Bosch defeated Racing Club de Avellaneda (1-0) thanks to a goal by Ukrainian Artem Rybak. The 15-year-old broke the scoreless tie in the 69th minute, after a great through pass from Xavier Miràngels.
The midfielder caught Rybak's run and the Ukrainian did not fail in the one-on-one against goalkeeper Colman. The goal was a reward for the effort and insistence of a Barça team that, in the second half, did the work despite the heat at the Nuevo Arcángel Stadium in Córdoba.

Barça went from less to more against Racing in Córdoba
The match was very even from the beginning, with Racing starting better thanks to an effective high press. Gerard Sala had his first save in the 10th minute, deflecting a powerful shot from Aquiles from the edge of the area.
The 'culés' struggled to step into the rival area in the first half, but after the break they took control of the match with excellent work in midfield. Iu Martínez and Miràngels took control of the ball and Barça found spaces taking advantage of the Argentinians' fatigue.
Finally, the 'azulgrana' touch broke the resistance of the 'albiceleste' team, which opted more for interruptions with hard tackles when the 'culés' took possession.
The goal by Artem Rybak, 15 years old, came ten minutes before the end of regular time. Barça, in this way, won the Al-Ándalus trophy, a new pride for La Masia with the youth world championship.
Barça replaces Palmeiras as U-18 world champion
In the semifinals, Cesc Bosh's team had defeated the current champion, Palmeiras, on penalties (2-2, 4-2 p.) and, in the quarterfinals, they also beat the Brazilian Corinthians in the same way.
Racing, for its part, arrived with confidence sky-high after adding five wins in a row. In the 'semis', the Argentinians surprised Real Madrid (2-1), but they could not breach the good play of the 'azulgrana' team in the decisive instance.
