Bad news for FC Barcelona. The azulgrana team has announced through its official channels the medical leave of Ferran Torres, who has undergone surgery to treat a case of appendicitis.

Through a statement, Barcelona reported the following:
"Ferran Torres underwent surgery tonight, May 14, for a case of appendicitis in a satisfactory manner. The operation was performed by Drs. Coroleu and Borras, at the Hospital de Barcelona, under the supervision of the Club's Medical Services"

Although FC Barcelona has not specified an exact recovery period, other sources state that this type of intervention usually requires between two and four weeks of rest, depending on the player's evolution. Consequently, there is a very high probability that Ferran Torres has already said goodbye to the 2024-25 season.
