Flick's Barça reaches 100 goals in a calendar year in LaLiga for the first time since 2018

Hansi Flick's FC Barcelona reached the 100-goal mark in LaLiga EA Sports this 2025 thanks to the victory against Osasuna (2-0). The Blaugrana team took advantage of a brace from Raphinha to celebrate their 14th victory of the season and the 30th of the calendar year, in which the Catalans played a total of 36 league matches.

The blaugrana team had a spectacular second half of the 24/25 season, with 16 wins, 2 draws, and only 1 loss to end up lifting the title with two matchdays to spare, although in January the team was 7 points behind Real Madrid.

In that second round, **Barça scored 51 goals**, two fewer than they have in 25/26. The team once again overcame a 5-point deficit between November and December to take sole leadership, now with a **7-point lead** in matchday 17 (and one more game) over the 'White House'.

The Catalans hadn't reached 100 goals in the league in a calendar year for seven years, a record they managed to achieve on seven occasions last decade. Previously, Barça had only scored this many goals in the tournament in 1999. 

In total, there are nine occasions on which the Blaugrana team has scored 100 or more goals in a single year (not season) in LaLiga. This 2025, the Catalans have scored 100 goals in 36 matches, with an average of 2.77 per game. Villarreal trails far behind with 68 goals, one more than Real Madrid (67). Second calendar year with +100 goals in the League without Leo Messi

The only precedent, without Leo Messi on the squad, dates back to 1999. With Louis van Gaal at the helm of Barça, the Blaugrana team scored 100 goals in the last year of the 20th century. In 98/99, the Catalans won the title with a nine-point lead over Real Madrid.

The following season was not as successful, with the Catalans achieving runner-up behind the historic Deportivo de La Coruña. Later, with La Pulga already in the squad, Barça completed seven calendar years with 100 or more goals in La Liga, with Ernesto Valverde on the bench being the last coach to achieve it.

Pep Guardiola did it in 2010 and 2012, although Tito Vilanova took charge of the team mid-year. In 2013 something similar happened after the arrival of 'Tata' Martino in the summer of 2013. Luis Enrique, for now, was the only one capable of leading the team to two consecutive years with more than 100 goals in the League (2015-2016)In 2017, Barcelona once again achieved this mark, but already with Valverde on the bench in the second half of the year. **The record, for now, is 121 goals in 2012 over 39 matchdays played**, the year in which Messi reached the brutal figure of 91 goals in all competitions.
