Flick could bet on an internal solution to reinforce the left wing

After Nico Williams turned his back on FC Barcelona by signing a renewal with Athletic Club until 2035, at Camp Barça they began to look for solutions and it seems that coach Hansi Flick found two.

In that sense, these would be players who are from La Masía and who had a good performance with the lower categories of the Blaugrana team during the 2024/25 season.

For his part, Flick has always shown himself to be an admirer of Barça's youth academy. So, according to rumors, if an attacker does not end up arriving for the left lane, the technical director would bet on two players that he has already seen on different occasions.

According to rumors, these would be Jan Virgili and Dani Rodríguez, who could offer Flick what he is looking for to reinforce that left wing. However, although Raphinha is the starter in that demarcation, at Barça they want to have two quality players per position.

Jan Virgili and Dani Rodríguez break through with force

Jan Virgili had a great 2024/25 season between Juvenil A and Barça Atlètic. The player's quality was enough to score 8 goals and provide 5 assists in 27 games (1,610 minutes).

In this sense, Virgili is a versatile left winger who, if he adapts to what Flick expects, could have a place in the first team. In addition, he is expected to be one of those called up to travel to the Asian tour.

The player also played a remarkable European U-19 Championship with Spain, where he scored 2 goals and gave 2 assists. In the semi-finals of the competition against Germany he converted the 5-5 and La Roja ended up winning 5-6. However, they lost the final 0-1 against the Netherlands.

Rashford could be a priority

Marcus Rashford and Luis Díaz would now have moved to the forefront in the culé sports management in case of betting on someone from outside for the left wing.
