Barça can now present itself with an XI made up of pure Catalans. The missing piece has already signed with the club for the next six seasons

Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona can now form a completely Catalan starting eleven after the signing of Joan García until 2031, coming from RCD Espanyol. The 'Azulgrana' team, proud of its identity, could present itself on the field with a team that is more than attractive football-wise.

This team would be comprised of an average age of just 21.18 years. Therefore, the freshness that the lineup would present would make it a respectable team against any rival that stands before it.

Before knowing the names of the players that would make up this team, it is important to highlight that it would be useful for coach Hansi Flick to use his frequently used 4-2-3-1 formation.

The 100% Catalan eleven that Barcelona could field

Starting from the goal, where obviously the goalkeeper would be Joan García. (Sallent de Llobregat). The line of four would be made up of the right back Héctor Fort (Barcelona), the center-back duo composed of Eric García (Martorell) and Pau Cubarsí (Estanyol), and Gerard Martín (Esplugas de Llobregat) on the left side.

The midfield area would be made up of a double pivot, where the names of Marc Bernal (Berga) and Marc Casadó (San Pere de Vilamajor) would enter. The responsibility of the attacking midfielder would fall on Dani Olmo (Terrassa).

In the attack, the 'culé' club would have a weapon converted to left winger, which would be Alejandro Balde (Barcelona), who is used to covering the left side constantly due to his verticality when attacking. As a center forward, Pau Víctor (Sant Cugat del Vallès) would enter and the one who would close the lineup would be the left winger Lamine Yamal (Esplugas de Llobregat).

Barça and an identity that is reaffirmed

If there is a team proud of its roots, it is Barça. The Catalan team has never neglected what identifies it so much, its connection as a multi-sport entity with Catalonia. In this way, Barcelona as an entity, aware of what it represents for its locality, has also tried over the years to show the 'culés' around the world what it means to be part of this region.

This is something that can be seen reflected in the club's crest, which has the colors of the 'senyera' in the upper right part, where four red bars are observed on a yellow background. Likewise, La Masía is also a fundamental part of this identity, because, to be more specific, 10 of these players were part of the lower categories of the 'Azulgrana' team, with the exception of Joan García.
