Joan Laporta leaves everything ready for the start of the works of the new Camp Nou

This Monday has celebrated in the Spotify Camp Nou an act to plant the first stone of the new Estadi of the FC Barcelona, which expects for November of 2024, at least in his first phase. Afterwards that this Sunday contested the last meeting in the stadium, as it knows him at present, the Barcelona enclosure will live a period of remodeling by the next 18 months, with the works initiating officially this Thursday 1 June.

In a loaded day of barcelonismo, the president Joan Laporta has participated in the act beside Xavi Hernández, Sergio Busquets, Melanie Serrano, Juan Manuel Asensi and two representatives of the inferior categories of the Barcelona club: Jana Wall (Childish To) and Guiu Xuclà (Childish B). Of this way the team culé also has wanted to bury a trunk of the memories with several objects that mark the identity of the club.

The FC Barcelona will keep all his essence

Each one deposited something in the box that reposará after the goal of the Goal Sud of the Spotify Camp Nou. Between the articles that were included find the newspapers of the day, an equipación of the present season, a bracelet of captain, a balloon, some boots of football, a flag of the Barça and another of Catalonia. In the previous to this act equally Laporta wanted to remember some messages of what represents the start of these works.

"These 123 years of history of the Barça could explain of a lot of ways. One of them is to define the places where have played. At the beginning, of itinerant form, went playing by all the fields of Barcelona until arriving to the Estadi of Them Corts. When we arrive to the Camp Nou, in 1957, already were a world-wide reference. It turned into our temple, in the pride of all the barcelonistas and want to that sigua being like this. We want it in the same place, in the neighbourhood of Them Corts, where has lived the Barça from 1922", started the president in his speech.

The president continued ensuring that "the new Spotify Camp Nou will be a collective dream and a legacy for our children and granddaughters", but "that will live with the maximum illusion". Likewise, it recognised that "we will go back to be here stronger that never because we want that it was the stage of glorious days, coinciding with the 125 anniversary of our club", concluded.

One of the big culés of the history

Xavi Hernández was another of the protagonists of the act, after attaining the triumph in front of the Mallorca by 3-0 the Sunday. The technician blaugrana recognised that "it was a round night to sack to Busquets, Alba and the Camp Nou with a victory". Asked after where has suffered more like culé, the egarense answered that enel bench, although "in Can Barça suffers always, like this are the Catalans, if we do not suffer, do not enjoy", resolved.
