Lamine Yamal is already the player who sells the most jerseys at FC Barcelona. After putting on sale the new culé home jersey for the 25/26 season with the '10' of the 18-year-old player, Nike quickly sold out a first global batch with 70,000 units, just four days after the jersey's debut.
Barça officially presented Lamine's new number along with the signing of his contract until June 2031 last Wednesday. Since then, at least 170 countries have requested shipments with the Mataró native's jersey, whose official price ranges between 135 and 185 euros in its fan and player versions.
Barça estimates revenues of €10M thanks to Lamine Yamal's '10'
In that sense, the turnover forecast is around 10 million euros thanks to Lamine's new number in the 25/26 season. In the first 24 hours that the jersey was available in the club's official stores in Barcelona, one of them sold more than 400 units.
Not in vain, BLM, the azulgrana parent company in charge of the club's merchandising, expects a record turnover this season, even more so if the first team manages to emulate the results obtained in the 24/25 season.
In a season prior to a World Cup, Barça hopes to repeat what they did in 2006, when the culés lifted their second Champions League in Paris three weeks before the start of the World Cup in Germany.
Yamal is also emerging as Spain's great star in the tournament that starts on June 11 in Mexico, Canada and the United States, although it remains to be seen if La Roja decides to give the '10' to the Rocafonda native in the tournament.
For the moment, the Barça youth player maintains the '19' in the national team, while the '10' has been in the hands of Dani Olmo during the final phase of the Nations League and the last European Championship.
Lamine Yamal's new jersey, the most sought after in sports stores
Meanwhile, Barça continues to sell jerseys of the culé winger in its physical and online stores around the world. This weekend, to commemorate Children's Day, the children's version (valued at 115 euros) was one of the best sellers.
Similarly, hundreds of tourists take advantage of their vacations in Barcelona to purchase the official player version jersey (the most expensive) in the Botigas, although its price reaches 185 euros. However, there is still enough stock to avoid placing the 'sold out' during the first week of sale to the public.
During the Asian preseason tour, sales are likely to skyrocket in Japan and South Korea, where Hansi Flick's team will play three friendlies between July 27 and August 4. Lamine Yamal will be, along with Marcus Rashford, the great novelty of the tour, the latter as a brand new azulgrana reinforcement.
