Lamine Yamal, ready to celebrate his coming of age: What are his plans?

Lamine Yamal is preparing for an intense weekend at the end of his vacation with FC Barcelona. The Mataró native turns 18 this Sunday and the date coincides with the return to work of the Barça squad to start the 2025 preseason.

In principle, the new Barça '10' is preparing a very exclusive party in Barcelona, although there was speculation about a celebration in Ibiza. Given the imminent return to training, the player will opt for a more measured celebration.

These are Lamine Yamal's plans for his 18th birthday

According to reports from media such as 'El Periódico' and 'Radio Marca', Lamine will bring forward the celebrations for his 18th birthday to the night of Saturday the 12th, with an exclusive guest list that will include several members of the Barça squad, influencers, and stars from music and global entertainment.

The meeting place will be kept secret until hours before the event, beyond the attendance of streamers such as Ibai Llanos, The Grefg, and IShowSpeed. The latter's idea is to do a live broadcast during the party, but Yamal prefers a more private gathering. Another of the confirmed figures will be the singer Ozuna, among other personalities. 

Lamine, ready to return to work with Barça

The celebrations, however, will not last too long, as the winger, along with the rest of the squad, is scheduled to start the preseason this Sunday with the usual medical tests.

The team formally returns to work on Monday with physical loading sessions to be ready for the Asian tour, where Barça will play two friendlies, one in Japan and two in South Korea. 

In Lamine's case, the formal act of his renewal until 2031 is also pending, along with the presentation of his new number. The Mataró native will sign his new contract wearing the '10' on his back, accompanied by his family and the board led by Joan Laporta.

Once this commitment is resolved, Yamal will train alongside the group. Although the player's vacation has been intense, with trips to Sicily, Brazil, Ibiza, Marbella, and Shanghai, his physical condition is impeccable to return to playing with the club.

In the 24/25 season, Lamine scored 18 goals and provided 23 assists in 56 matches (4,643 minutes). In his third full season with the team, the winger will look to improve these records, although before reaching adulthood he was already the leader in assists in LaLiga (13) and co-leader of the team (23).
