Lamine Yamal said goodbye to Barça's Asian tour with another recital of dribbling against Daegu. The '10' did not score, but gave an assist
FC Barcelona closed their preseason Asian tour with a 'manita' against Daegu FC (0-5). Lamine Yamal, although he could not score, added an assist in the first half, again starting as a starter with Hansi Flick's team. The '10' was in the starting XI in all three matches in Japan and South Korea, with the match against FC Seoul being his best performance.
The Mataró native scored a double in the first 45 minutes and had direct participation in the first Azulgrana goal, since thanks to his shot repelled by the post, Robert Lewandowski was able to score into an empty net, capturing the rebound.
Against Daegu, Lamine again opened the way to an Azulgrana rout, this time with an assist to Gavi. In the 21st minute, the winger enabled the midfielder after overflowing on the right. The '6' took advantage of his freedom in front of the area to take a placed left-footed shot from below, unstoppable for goalkeeper Oh.
Lamine Yamal, a true 'Showman' in Daegu
Despite the intense rain at the Daegu Stadium, local fans were able to enjoy the repertoire of dribbling and speed of the new Azulgrana '10'. In total, the 18-year-old forward was the leader of the day in completed dribbles (6) and chances created (4), in addition to missing only 5 passes out of the 30 he attempted (83% effectiveness).

In the 37th minute, the winger was very close to scoring the most beautiful goal of the 15 scored by Barça in the preseason. Lamine easily left two rivals behind, stepping into the area to take a powerful left-footed shot that Oh sent to the corner with a remarkable stretch.
In individual duels, Yamal won 7 out of 11, losing only one ball in the 45 minutes he was on the field. Again, Hansi Flick gave him a break at halftime, putting Roony Bardghji in his place. The Swede also failed to 'wet' in Daegu, but again left flashes of quality and generated several clear chances, neutralized by the local goalkeeper.
The Barça fans, ready to see Lamine with the '10' in the Gamper
This Tuesday, Lamine Yamal will return with the Barcelona squad to the Ciudad Condal. The group will have two days of rest, returning to work on Thursday to begin preparations for the Joan Gamper Trophy.
On Sunday, against Como (9:00 PM CEST), the Culé fans will see the Mataró native in action at home for the first time wearing his new number. In 24/25, the winger scored 18 goals and 23 assists still as a youth player. Now, with the '10' and the coming of age consummated, his goal is to consolidate himself as the best footballer in the world today.
