Marcus Rashford is already an FC Barcelona player. The 27-year-old forward passed the medical examination this Monday at the Ciutat Esportiva and will begin training under Hansi Flick on Tuesday in the double training session scheduled by the technical staff.

After confirming his signing for Barça, the Manchester player uploaded a photo to Instagram on the plane that arrived from Nottingham to Barcelona on Sunday afternoon. Lamine Yamal was one of the first to comment on the publication, placing an emoji to welcome the British winger.

The player from Mataró placed an emoticon with both hands making a heart. Rashford had already left several 'winks' and praises to Lamine weeks ago, while Barça was negotiating his signing with United.

Finally, Marcus will realize his desire to wear the Blaugrana shirt and play alongside someone he considers a true prodigy, not only for his talent, but for the mentality to take advantage of it. "I don't think we've seen this before. What he does is not normal, because, in addition, he is going to improve, we will not know what we will say about him in three years," commented the English international.

Rashford, ready to form a lethal attack alongside Lamine Yamal

Thus, Rashford is ready to join the 'culé' squad, with the aim of adding more gunpowder to the already devastating Catalan attack. In principle, the Manchester player arrives to alternate the left side with Raphinha, but it is likely that he will also play several games on the right to give Yamal more rest.

The former '10' of United can also play without problems as a false '9' or attacking midfielder, although he feels more comfortable glued to the wing to hook inside exploiting his dribbling speed and hitting ability.

In that sense, Barça expects a production in the order of 15-20 goals (between goals and assists) with Marcus, a very valuable contribution for a team that, in 24/25, was able to score 173 goals in 60 matches.

Gary Lineker praises Lamine Yamal and is confident in Rashford's success in Barcelona

Regarding Rashford's signing for Barça, the only English footballer who had previously been part of the Catalan team in its 125 years of history, Gary Lineker, endorsed the arrival of his compatriot. For the Leicester player, the 'culé' board has been right with this incorporation,

"He is a great player and a good friend of mine. He has had his problems at Manchester United in recent years, but he has a lot of talent. He is very fast, very dangerous and he is a good person," he said in a chat with the program 'Què t’hi jugues' of the SER network.

In addition, Lineker took the opportunity to praise Lamine Yamal, who he considers may be the next great reference of world football, at the level of Diego Maradona and Leo Messi.

"At his age, doing the things he does, the way he plays... He is very special. He is very good, he can be one of the greats, but he needs to have some luck... He is the best player I have seen with 16-17 years, not even Pelé was doing what Lamine was doing at his age".

In his time at Barça, Gary scored 52 goals in 137 games during three seasons (1986-1989), although he could only win a Copa del Rey (1988) in his time at the Camp Nou. Will Rashford be able to surpass his records and honors?
