Rashford surrenders to Lamine and hopes to playing for Barça

Marcus Rashford doesn't miss an opportunity to express his dream of wearing the FC Barcelona jersey in 2025/26. In a chat with the Spanish youtuber 'xBuyer', whose YouTube channel already has more than 5 million followers, the Manchester United forward was asked about his opinion of Lamine Yamal, for whom he spared no praise.

"We all want to play with the best. Of course I would like to play with Lamine. Hopefully, we'll see", he began by saying regarding the player from Mataró and his chances of signing for Barça.

Although, for the moment, there is no negotiation in progress with United, the English international is confident of receiving a culé offer well into the summer market. The Azulgrana team, for their part, hope that the 'red devils' will lower their economic demands to decide whether or not the signing of the forward is viable this summer.

Continuing with Rashford's praise for Lamine Yamal, the Manchester 'crack' analyzed his characteristics on the field and his projection in the medium and long term.

"He's going to be... It's hard to describe in words what he's doing because he shouldn't be doing this at 16-17 years old. He's playing in the elite at just 17 years old, I don't think we've seen that before", he explained.

In that sense, he added: "For him it's normal. Having that mentality is a skill, but it's not normal to be able to do what he does. Not just now, because he's going to improve. In three years we don't know what we're going to say about him".

In addition, he made it clear that, in his opinion, Lamine is the most talented player in the world and, therefore, should win the Ballon d'Or this year. However, the award depends on the criteria of the voters in each edition.

"It depends on how they value it. If you only value the skill, I think so, he can win it. But if you look, there's also Dembélé, the Champions League, the league they won... It depends on how you look at it", added Marcus.

On the other hand, the United youth player was sincere about the attacking profile that favors him the most. In the 'red devils', Rashford was a winger, attacking midfielder and '9' on some occasions, although his best version came playing leaning towards the wing.

"I see myself reflected in (Thierry) Henry. He feels comfortable playing on the left and also in the middle. He is a free player. As I have grown, the '9' position is becoming more comfortable, more natural for me", argued the Englishman.

In this regard, he assured that he has no problem playing with his back to the goal, a role (attacking midfielder) where he feels very comfortable. This versatility is one of the reasons why Hansi Flick is betting on his signing. Will Barça be able to incorporate him in the summer market? At the moment, the operation looks distant due to his price and salary, but the winger will do everything possible to facilitate his arrival in Catalonia.
