In the middle of the difficulties to institutional level the FC Barcelona, the president, Joan Laporta, does not contemplate between his priorities confer again the charge of president of honour to Johann Cruyff, the one who before his demise had renounced to said distinction by part of the club.
The jerarca of the Catalan entity ensures desconocer the reasons so that the club withdrew the distinction: "I did not understand never why they withdrew him to Cruyff the insignia of partner of honour. It was partner of the Barça, achieved four leagues and the first Glass of Europe, was seleccionador of Catalonia and inspiration of the best Barça of the history that had the honour to chair I between 2003 and 2010".
The pronouncement took place during the last assembly of compromisarios, although it added that for the moment the subject is not in the diary: "For me always it will be the president of honour, deserves it by own merits, always have it present. But it is not a subject that have now on the table".
The renunciation of Cruyff like president of honour
Under the mandate of Sandro Rosell, Johann Cruyff denied to continue carrying the honour that the club had done him alleging that it did not want to be an annoyance: "I Imagine that I am bothering or what was, therefore I give it back. The controversial answer of Rosell did not do expect: "Anybody would want to have a title that does not exist. I imagine that it has to be by this subject. I had done the same.
