FC Barcelona held a new ordinary general assembly where the club's members learned the details of the management led by Joan Laporta. Faced with a low attendance of delegates, a vote was held to approve the accounts for the 2024/25 financial year and the official budget for 2025/26.
In total, there was a quorum of 553 members in the vote held on Saturday. According to the 494 votes counted, the final balance sheet for last season had 83.4% support, with a total of:
- 412 votes in favor
- 84 votes against
- 31 blank votes
For its part, the 25/26 budget was supported by 84.7% of the delegates, with a total of 494 votes registered. The balance, with a quorum of 506 members, was:
- 418 votes in favor
- 55 votes against
- 21 blank votes
Barça's accounts for the 24/25 and 25/26 seasons, in detail
For the 24/25 financial year, total operating income was 994 million euros, with a balance of 2 million in profits from ordinary management. Operating expenses reached €965M, resulting in a financial result of -€27M.
Considering that operating income had a variation of +€81M and operating expenses also grew by €54M, the general balance sheet showed losses in the order of 17 million euros. This despite reaching the Champions League semi-finals for the first time since 2019 and achieving the national treble in Spain.
Regarding the 25/26 budget, the board projects revenues in the order of 1,075 million, boosted by an additional €50M thanks to the return to the Spotify Camp Nou in its phase 1B (45,000 spectators), along with another 200 'kilos' derived from BLM (Barça Licensing & Merchandising).
In that regard, the ordinary profit is projected at 5 million euros, which would achieve a third consecutive year with positive figures. This is provided that the first male and female teams continue to reap good results in Europe.

Joan Laporta, satisfied with the results of his management
Once the results of the voting were known, Joan Laporta thanked the delegate members for their support, in addition to valuing the results obtained during the last year of management.
The president emphasized the benefits of 70 million in Hospitality services, in addition to "the reduction of the sports payroll to 54% of the club's income," which was 98% after his return to the Barça presidency in 2021. In this regard, he congratulated Deco and all the staff of collaborators of the sports and financial leadership of the club.
Likewise, he boasted about the remodeling of the Spotify Camp Nou, which will soon become "the best stadium in Europe". In this regard, he also thanked the vice president, Elena Fort, and the mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, for contributing to the construction of the Espai Barça, complying with all legal protocols.
"We have had the courage to reactivate a project that had been stopped, because it was absolutely necessary for the economic viability of the club."
