The FC Barcelona shirt will feature the logo of the Chinese company Midea on its left sleeve from next summer, after signing an agreement for five seasons
The FC Barcelona board recently closed a sponsorship agreement with the Chinese company Midea, which will become the club's main partner from the 2026/27 season. The company specializing in smart appliances will activate its sponsorship from July 11, 2026 and for the next five years, until the summer of 2031.
Rafael Yuste, first vice president of FC Barcelona, and Lewis Fu, president of Midea International Business, signed the agreement at the club's offices. "This alliance demonstrates, once again, the power of the Barça brand as a pole of attraction for companies from all over the planet that see in FC Barcelona the best loudspeaker for their project," Yuste said during the official event.

Midea will replace Ambilight TV on the sleeve of the Barcelona shirt
In that sense, Midea will be, from 26/27, sponsor of the first men's team shirt, wearing its logo on the left sleeve. The Chinese company will replace Ambilight TV, which since the summer of 2023 had been a sponsor of the club together with Spotify.
In May 2023, Barça and the company TP vision, the company responsible for Phillips TV products, signed an agreement for three fixed seasons, extendable to two more years. Finally, the club would have discarded this option, signing with Midea.
For the Ambilight TV sponsor, the Blaugrana team received 8 million euros net in its first season (23/24), while in 24/25 and 25/26 the figure rose to 10 and 12 'kilos'. The fourth and fifth year of contract was planned to enter 12 M€ and 14 M€, respectively.
How much does FC Barcelona earn from the agreement with Midea?
In principle, according to 'Mundo Deportivo', the agreement with Midea could leave about 12 million euros net per season to FC Barcelona, although this type of contracts are usually ascending. In the 21/22 and 22/23 seasons, the left sleeve of the Blaugrana shirt did not have a sponsor, after the agreement with Beko ended.
The Midea logo, in addition to the sleeve, will also appear on Barça's training kits. The Chinese company has a similar contract with Manchester City, being a partner and global partner of the club since January 2020.
The company, since 1968, operates 1968 in the city of Beijiao (China). It currently has more than 190,000 employees worldwide, generated revenues of 57.5 billion dollars in 2024 and was ranked 246th in the Fortune Global 500 ranking of 2025, reveals Barça in the official announcement of the agreement.
For friendly and pre-season matches, Barça wears the Cupra logo on its right sleeve. The relationship with the automotive company began in 2019 and last year was renewed until 2029. Between 2004 and 2013, the left sleeve of the culé shirt carried the 'TV3' logo only in domestic competitions.
