The FC Barcelona board revealed the six key points of the new agreement with Nike, a contract that will extend until 2038 with record revenues for the club

Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona begins to break down the details of the new agreement with Nike, a contract signed in November after several months of intense negotiations that, ultimately, will last for 14 years, until June 2038. Although the revenues are around 120 million euros per season starting in the summer of 2028, the board has not yet disclosed the detailed amounts.

However, the member delegates did recently receive a document with the six key points of the new contract, which includes a new model of strategic partnership and collaboration between the parties. In this regard, the first point relates to significant improvements in bonuses related to the signing of the new contract and the achievement of titles, as well as a fixed sponsorship fee.

Additionally, Barça claims that its jersey will see a 10-15% increase in value due to a growing sponsorship consideration. This means the club will be able to increase its revenues starting from the 2028/29 season annually, according to the sports objectives achieved. Likewise, the contract reaffirms both parties' commitment to equality and women's football, whereby both teams (the men's and women's) will receive the same bonuses.

Barça Secures the Future of Its Brand and Retail Exploitation

On the other hand, the document sent by Joan Laporta to the members clarifies that Nike will be responsible for the development of all technical products, while the club will have absolute control over all 'Barça brand' products. In turn, the American multinational commits to achieving additional royalties each season, derived from the exploitation of the product license.

Finally, Barça has regained 100% of the 'retail' rights that are exclusively managed by BLM, a section that, in 2023, generated revenues of around 120 million euros. This includes control over retail sales, along with everything related to Barça's e-commerce on a global level. With this, Nike becomes the main technical partner of all professional and amateur teams of the club in what is undoubtedly the largest sponsorship contract in the history of the club.
