Roony Bardghji and Héctor Fort joined Juliano Belletti's Barça Atlètic this Friday, one awaiting registration and the other awaiting his departure
FC Barcelona visits Levante for the second matchday of LaLiga, and Roony Bardghji and Héctor Fort were not present in the last training session, as they played minutes with the reserve team managed by Juliano Belletti.
Barça Atlètic played a friendly match against Atlètic Lleida at the Ciutat Esportiva, where the full-back served as captain, while the Swedish forward accompanied Toni Fernández and Aziz Issah in attack. Guille and 'Dro' also started, while Jofre Torrents stayed with the first team to travel to Valencia.
With most of the reserve team squad in Brazil for the dispute of the U-20 Intercontinental Cup, Belletti took the opportunity to give playing time to the Barça players awaiting registration.
Roony Bardghji: awaiting registration
The Swedish player's situation is clear; he has not yet been registered to play with the first team, so although Hansi Flick is counting on the player, he cannot use him in Valencia against Levante. This has led to him training with Barça Atlètic by technical decision while the club regularizes his registration.
The idea with Roony Bardghji is for him to get minutes with the youth teams so that he can get playing time and maintain a good physical condition to compete at his best in La Liga, Copa, and Champions League.
"He is not registered, he is not available for the next match. His attitude and mentality are fantastic. They (he and Fort) will play 45 or 60 minutes this afternoon with the reserve team. Let's see if things change next week and we can have all the players registered," Flick explained in the press conference prior to the match against Levante.
Rumors arose about the 19-year-old winger who recently arrived at the club regarding his departure on loan if the coach did not take him into account, but everything seems to indicate that he will be an important piece for the team's rotations during the season.
Bardghji arrived from FC Copenhagen on July 14 for 2.5 million euros, where he scored 7 goals in the Superliga and 1 in the Champions League in 23 matches. Now, he is waiting for his registration situation to be resolved to show his great quality with the Catalans in top-level football.
Héctor Fort: loan as the most likely exit
Héctor Fort's scenario is different, as Flick is not counting on him. The right-back position is well covered by Jules Koundé, Eric García, and even Araujo or Christensen, who have been used to defend that sector of the field.
The safest thing is that the Catalan will leave on loan this summer, especially given the large number of rumors around him and that the player was not taken into account for the squad in the first matchday of LaLiga.
Fort also did not see minutes in the Gamper, and the club is evaluating renewing him to negotiate his loan departure. The '18' ends his contract in 2026 and is valued at around 10 'kilos' in Transfermarkt. Borussia Dortmund, Como, Paris FC, and other teams in LaLiga and the Premier are attentive to his future.
