Barça believes it will be able to register the players even before the Joan Gamper Trophy. The club would be counting on a margin of €32M for the registrations

With less than 13 days to go before FC Barcelona debuts in LaLiga 2025/26, the club has still not registered at least 5 players who are extremely important for technical director Hansi Flick.

In that sense, the players who are not yet registered for the competition are Joan García, Marcus Rashford, Gerard Martín, Wojciech Szczęsny and Roony Bardghji; in the case of the latter, he can play with a card from the blaugrana reserve team.

Barcelona is already working on this section and hopes to have the registration issue resolved before the match for the Joan Gamper Trophy, which will be on Sunday, August 10, according to recent information.

From the club they point out that they are handling it calmly, since they consider that they will be able to register all the players. However, the days go by and the fans are beginning to wonder if, before the first match for LaLiga, which will be against RCD Mallorca, the club will not present setbacks due to this situation.

Ter Stegen's injury, a way to register Joan García

After Marc-André ter Stegen underwent an intervention for some lumbar ailments, Barça, if necessary, hopes to be able to use a percentage of the injured player's salary to register another.

In that case, if 'MATS' absence exceeds four months, the club will be able to use 50% of his card for Joan García. However, if the LaLiga Medical Commission confirms a medical leave equal to or greater than five months, the salary release percentage would amount to 80%, allowing the Catalan team to have a wider financial margin.

The salary margin, key for the other registrations

It is worth remembering that, although the club is exceeded in its salary margin and is not operating under the 1:1 rule, it is considered that, with the space generated by the recent departures, in addition to the agreement signed with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which will allow the entity to enter 10 million euros for four seasons, the registrations can be made.

Of course, everything is subject to the employers validating the operations carried out by the Catalan team; otherwise, it would be splashed by a new setback that would represent a real 'headache'.

In that case, the latest departures from the club —Pablo Torre, Pau Víctor, Ansu Fati and Clément Lenglet— would have allowed Barça to free up around €22M in terms of financial 'fair play'.

Added to this, we should add the 10 'kilos' of sponsorship that the Central African country must pay, for which the culé combined would be counting on a total margin of 32 million.
