The Barcelona joins to Unicef to help to Mexico

Fantastic initiative of the FC Barcelona. Attending to the call of UNICEF by the state of emergency that have caused in Mexico the earthquakes of the days 7 and 19 September, the Fundació FCB and the same UNICEF have agreed to allocate 200.000 euros with immediate character for the emergency. Seven million boys have seen how 5.100 schools have remained destroyed or damaged.

UNICEF Works, as it informed in his communiqué the Barça, with his allies to build and establish temporary schools, promote guidelines of security in these centres, form professors in psychological support and distribute educational material and kits of development of first infancy. UNICEF Expanded his alliance with the Barça in February of 2016 until 2020. The Barça increased of 1,5 million euros to two his contribution.

Jordi Cardoner, vice-president of the social area, did this institutional statement: "From the Barcelona and the Fundació want to express ours deeper solidarity with the Mexican village after the earthquakes that have affected this country during the month of September. Like global entity, can not be extraneous to the misfortunes that affect to the people of all the world. It is what dictates ours lemma, més that a club, and in these situations our look centres especially in the boys that are the most vulnerable".

Once again it puts of self-evident the level of commitment of the Barcelona with the social problems -in this case environmental- that occur in the world. Through the sport can help to a lot of people. The aim is to improve the quality of life of other societies. The Barça goes back to be exemplary and is to appreciate.
