One of the best French players of the last years, Robert Pires, has conceded an interview to "L'Équipe" in which it has spoken on Arsène Wenger, that probably leave the bench of the Arsenal to the term of the present season, and that trained him during six years in the group "gunner", between 2000 and 2006.

Pires Remembers that, definitely, the worst moment of his career futbolística was when Wenger decided to take him out of the field in the final of Champions League 2006 against the FC Barcelona, to give entrance to Almunia after the expulsion of Jens Lehmann.

"I agree me as if it was yesterday when Wenger removed me of the field"

"I agree me as if it was yesterday when it removed me of the field. Henry said me: "Rob, are you the one who salts". I give me the turn and see the number "7" in the signpost of the fourth referee. And I say me: "it Is impossible, why I?". Robert Pires angered with Arsène Wenger, although to the cape of some days, before Pires left the English club, did the peaces. "It was so angered with Arsène that neither look him to the face, and he to me neither, because it knew my get angry (...). This night could not sleep. It treated of the moment harder of my career", remembers the ex international French.

"I want that you know that do you go out in that final, went the worst decision that have taken up to now", reveals Pires that was what said him Wenger some days later, before it closed the cycle of the player in the Arsenal. It is clear that the final of 2006 against the FC Barcelona follows being between the worst nightmares of Robert Pires, the one who afterwards finished in the Villarreal.
